What keeps you motivated towards achieving your fitness goals?
Seeing current progress, motivational bodybuilding videos, looking good all help me but I must say my biggest and most aggressive form of motivation comes from desire and jealousy! Let me explain.
When I see a guy who has a better body then me, I think to my self, damn I want that kind of physique… And I could have it if I worked as hard as him. I channel jealousy into motivational competition and that really keeps me on track! Haha weird but it works for me!
What about you!?
toneisbetterthanbone asked: Hi Chris, [love your blog btw], I recently bought some protein powder and I was wondering what the best times are to use it? Is it best to have it first thing in the morning, pre workout, post workout, or at night, because I did some research on the internet and different sites say different things?
Hey =) thank you, and best time is post workout with in 20 min.
100lbsailor asked: Hi. I saw your video training a boy with cerebral palsy. Is there anything you need to do differently when training him compared to able-bodied clients? Any mobility or other health issues that you need to pay extra attention to?
Yes it is extremely different. He does not have the ability to transfer weight from leg to leg like we would if we were just walking normally or going up stairs. He also has a lack of neural feed back disabling him from accomplishing simple motor tasks.
I have to be very carful not to hurt him but at the same time challenge his body to start teaching certain muscles to fire at the right times
Whats stopping you from getting in shape?
